On Monday 19th December the Seagull Room at the iconic Bondi Pavilion was filled to the brim with happy people dancing, noshing, chatting and singing as COA put on it’s Annual Chanukah Luncheon and Concert. We were also privileged to have the company of Woollahra's Deputy Mayor Isabelle Shapiro, Council members form Waverley Sally Betts, Leon Goltsman, and Tony Kaye, and MP for Coogee Dr Marjorie O'Neill. Rabbi Eli Feldman of Newtown Shul was our MC and our Chanukiah was lit by Rabbi Kastel OAM Director of Jewish House.

The luncheon was made and served by COA volunteers and staff, the entertainment was provided by perennial favourite Robert Teicher, our own Mordechai Levin, the talented Leon Bishlei and a new addition to our line up, the Two Hats band, reduced to one hat on the day thanks to COVID. But that one hat produced a lot of great music!

The raffle featured items donated by members of the COA Management Committee, Volunteers and Staff, but the biggest prize by far was a limited edition print from local Jewish/Egyptian artist and good friend to COA, Camille Fox, fresh from her very successful exhibition at the Sydney Jewish Museum.
