COA Mystery Bus Outings Are Back!

Since March 2020 COVID has knocked our social programs sideways - we have not been able to gather for months now and our members are getting very restless.

So, in accordance with all government instructions and health warnings, we have once again started to offer our Mystery Bus Outings on Tuesday and Thursday, with reduced numbers of participants.

Tuesday and Thursday outings are an excellent way to explore Sydney’s most beautiful places near and far, get some exercise, and catch up with peers. The day includes pick up from home, a walk, and lunch with the group. It is $10 for the day-long journey, including pick up, and lunch is paid for individually.

We call these “Mystery” bus outings because the destination for the day depends on the weather, and the walking abilities of those coming, and how far the driver wants to drive. So you could end up in Cronulla, Bobbin Head, Coogee Beach, or any places in between!

Kosher meals on wheels

COA's Kosher Meals are made by professional Kosher caterers and delivered to recipients homes by our friendly and dedicated volunteers. There is a large menu to choose from and every meal delivered is subsidised by COA, so why not check the menu and see if this service may be right for you.

COA is manned by a small paid staff who work hand in glove with over 200 active volunteers; coordinating and delivering services, providing organisational administration, taking enquiries from members, and ensuring compliance with government guidelines.

What we do

COA is a not-for-profit organisation in Eastern Sydney caring for the needs of Jewish and other seniors. We live our ethos by providing our clients connection to a social network of peers, activities in large and small groups 6 days weekly, and opportunities to access volunteer work, services, and support, to remain independently in their own homes for as long as practical. In all possible ways we aim to enrich the lives of Jewish seniors.
Management Committee

COA is governed by a volunteer Committee of Management whose members provide daily support to staff with running of activities, administration processes, and governance at the COA Centre. They determine our strategies going forward and ensure COA can provide the best quality services possible while remaining financially and legally secure.
