COVID-19 Response

One step forward, two steps back

We had managed to bring our participant rate up to 50 in the centre, when the latest COVID outbreak started just prior to Christmas. We will now step back to our previous conditions with maximum 30 in the centre for large group activities, and maximum 10 in the activity room for small groups.

Please read our latest COVID updates below, the most recent of which includes the places and times in Waverley where those with COVId have been. Please follow the advise given for each location.

We want to remind everyone coming to visit us in the COA office or join in activities in the COA Centre that they must commit to maintaining COVID restrictions whilst at the Centre, and to NOT COME IN IF UNWELL! - Please see restrictions outlined in infographic below.

    COPING WITH LOCKDOWN

We know COVID-19 has been incredibly difficult for many of you.  Even those who are fortunate enough to be coping well with all the pandemic-related changes undoubtedly have friends who have had a hard time.  That’s why the Department of Health has introduced a new hotline just for you.  If you need support or have questions, you can call the FREE Older Persons COVID-19 Support Line on 1800 171 866.  And of course, for ongoing support, let us know and we can arrange for one of our friendly volunteers to give you regular phone calls for a chat through COA’s Shalom Connect program.
