Come and join the small intimate group, as Rabbi Ingram speaks on the weeks parsha and festivals as they come up, and answers questions posed by group members

Wednesday 11:15am – 11:30am with a rotating roster of Emanuel Synagogue Clergy

This Shiur is held in the centre with all our members as part of our Wednesday full day of activities. It is an opportunity to explore Jewish themes, celebrate festivals, and ask questions of the clergy.

COA social activities begin again

For months we have waited for the restrictions to lift and social activities to start again at the COA Centre. Finally the time is here.
Medi Wolf

Medi is our in house catering guru. Regardless of aches and pains she is in our kitchen Monday and Wednesday helping to prepare lunches for members and friends visiting COA.
Marika Pogany

Marika has been part of the fabric of COA for over 2 decades - delivering Kosher Meals, coming in to cook for special events, and providing transport when needed.

Technology Classes and Tech Connect Program

For all seniors using laptop, tablet, or mobile, brush up the areas you are not sure of, or have not gone to before. presented by a caring volunteer who wants to see everyone use technology to their best advantage.
Art Class

Weekly lessons from a gifted art teacher. A place to start your art hobby or improve your skills in a friendly and supportive environment
Entertainment

Monday and Wednesday we present entertainments in the COA Centre. Usually live music, with dancing encouraged, and on occasion slide shows, talks and led discussions.
Special Events

Celebrate your simcha with COA - milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and speical events in your life. Just tell the office so we can make sure to include your special event in our calendar of activities.
Table Tennis

Exercise and socialise at the same time. Table tennis is a great way to keep fit and meet people. You can play at COA by arrangement with the co-ordinators.
Bridge

Bridge is an ever popular game for seniors, as it takes an agile mind to be successful. If you are a new player we have lessons available at COA every Friday, as well as duplicate Bridge for more experienced players. Come on your own, bring your partner, or bring a table of people.
Dinner Club

Dinner Club is a bi-monthly get together for "younger seniors" and includes a delicious kosher meal, and a speaker providing a topic of interest which participants can discuss with the speaker in a Q&A session after the talk is done.
Movies

COA offers a Sunday movie twice monthly, which includes an intermission and afternoon tea. It is a great way to get to know our regular movie goers and form friendships over the shared experience of watching a film. It is also a good place to meet up with old friends for a low cost no stress get together.
Bus Outings

There is nothing nicer than spending a day with a group of friends rediscovering the prettiest spots in Sydney. Our Bus Outing allows you to take a walk with peers, and stop for lunch at a local cafe.
Chair Exercise

As we age our own limitations can make it difficult to stay physically fit. Chair exercise is an excellent way to remain limber and improve balance, and is a safe way for seniors to keep their strength and fitness levels up.

Your support helps us continue our mission to help Jewish seniors who prefer to remain in their own homes by providing services at home, an active drop-in centre, and provision of Sydney's only Kosher Meals-on-Wheels. All donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible and you will receive a receipt.

Musical Entertainment for the Lock-Down

As we are offering no activities while the COVID lock-down is on, we have made a list of places you may like to visit on You Tube to see Yiddish songs, popular songs, and Operas. We hope you enjoy them.
