After being based working at the airport for 12 years I wanted a change and felt drawn to COA and its close knit community. I love the atmosphere, it’s a very caring environment, you feel very welcomed here. I love the seeing the happy faces during the activities, like knitting and art, the support and care is amazing, it’s a great place to be a part of.

I joined COA in 2017 as a volunteer 1 day a week.  This has now evolved into a 4 day week, doing general accounts, administration, and taking bookings for events and functions.  I’m so happy to be giving back to the community and interacting with our members.

I have been working in the Catering and Events Industry for the past 7 years and look forward to bringing those skills back in to the community here at the COA. I look forward to assist in the ongoing success of the Kosher Meals on Wheels program as well as getting involved in other special projects.

I came to COA on a work placement in 2001 and have been here ever since handling the computer side of meals deliveries and reporting meals statistics to the government each quarter.

Centre Caretaker

Paul Skerwiderski

I have worked with COA for over 25 years as a driver, a maintenance man, and setting up the COA Krygier Centre for various activities. I enjoy spending time with our clients and have grown to know them very well over the years.

    What we do

COA is a not-for-profit organisation in Eastern Sydney caring for the needs of Jewish and other seniors. We live our ethos by providing our clients connection to a social network of peers, activities in large and small groups 6 days weekly, and opportunities to access volunteer work, services, and support, to remain independently in their own homes for as long as practical. In all possible ways we aim to enrich the lives of Jewish seniors.
