Fundraise for us

Could you Run a Fundraiser for COA?

Everyone is looking for money, there is no doubt, but we want to throw the arena open to our friends and supporters to run small fundraisers for the benefit of COA members. Here are a few ideas of simple fundraisers which anyone can run. If everyone did them we would never want to for money again.

If you want to raise funds for one of our worthwhile campaigns, please go to the Donate page, find the Appeal you want to support and click on the Fundraiser button. This will allow you to set up your fundraiser online. If you prefer to do a more physical Fundraiser we are willing and able to help you with arranging it, creating signage , and may even be able to provide volunteers to help run it. So contact COA on 9389 0035 or via this website and we look forward to working with you on your big fundraising idea.

COA Certificates

Most people have more "things" than they need. If you are going to have a birthday, wedding anniversary,  housewarming, or other special event, why not ask your guests to make a donation to COA for a   certificate in lieu of gifts.

 Sponsored Walk

If you are planning to walk the Kokoda Trail, or scale Kosciuszko, or do the Sydney City to Surf, try getting sponsors who will pay you for completing your walk / run, with the proceeds going to COA.

Morning Tea

Gather your friends together for a morning tea and explain it is to raise funds for COA's services to seniors. Set a price for participation, or for elements such as the cup of coffee or a piece of cake.

Bake Sale

If you are someone who loves to bake and has access to school or community group premises, see if they would be willing to let you host a "Bake Sale for COA" and perhaps join in making goodies for the sale.

"Give it Up" Challenge

Do you like to indulge in a weekly scratch lottery, a daily coffee, an occasional chocolate bar? The idea of this challenge is to give up your little vice for a set time, a month, 6 months, a year, and donate the money it would have cost to COA instead.

Garage Sale

If you are downsizing your home, or just cleaning house, a garage sale is a great way to get rid of all that stuff. But you could consider donating a portion of the sales to COA, or even holding the sale with a large sign saying that proceeds are going to help seniors.

Lemonade Stand

There is nothing nicer than a glass of fresh lemonade on a sunny day. If you and your kids are up for it, why not run a stand for a day with proceeds going to COA, and help teach your kids the value of giving to community.

Your Big Idea:

You probably have an even better idea!!

Come and talk to us about it.
