Changes to COA's Committee of Management

In recent months some people have departed our Committee of Management; Ilona Lee AM, Roni Vandor, Julian Sher and Dr Sylvia Levy have all moved on.

But, we are delighted to welcome new Committee members Romy Stuhler and Peter Cappe who bring much needed skills to the group. Peter is an experienced ad widely respected solicitor while Romy has extensive management experience in the food industry and her knowledge and enthusiasm will be of great value to COA.

We are also pleased to announce two additions to the executive committee. As Allen Rosenberg has moved into the position of President, his vacant Vice President's seat is to be taken by Gary Knep who has been on the committee as a member for a number of years, while Ben Politzer who is an even longer time Committee of management member will take on the role left by Roni Vandor of our Honorary Secretary.

Kosher meals on wheels

COA's Kosher Meals are made by professional Kosher caterers and delivered to recipients homes by our friendly and dedicated volunteers. There is a large menu to choose from and every meal delivered is subsidised by COA, so why not check the menu and see if this service may be right for you.

COA is manned by a small paid staff who work hand in glove with over 200 active volunteers; coordinating and delivering services, providing organisational administration, taking enquiries from members, and ensuring compliance with government guidelines.

What we do

COA is a not-for-profit organisation in Eastern Sydney caring for the needs of Jewish and other seniors. We live our ethos by providing our clients connection to a social network of peers, activities in large and small groups 6 days weekly, and opportunities to access volunteer work, services, and support, to remain independently in their own homes for as long as practical. In all possible ways we aim to enrich the lives of Jewish seniors.
Management Committee

COA is governed by a volunteer Committee of Management whose members provide daily support to staff with running of activities, administration processes, and governance at the COA Centre. They determine our strategies going forward and ensure COA can provide the best quality services possible while remaining financially and legally secure.

COA Centre Activities

As COA undergoes a transformation some of our usual activities offered at the COA Krygier Centre have moved offsite, whilst others remain at the Centre, and new activities will be added as they become available.

COA Fresh

COA Fresh is a weekly delivery of fresh produce and other items going to over 200 homes in our community. The program helps to provide food security to those who are unable to attend the shops and may not have the finances to afford fresh fruit and vegetables each week.
