As part of our Seniors festival celebrations COA put on an Open House featuring not just COA programs and events, but stalls from other service providers and groups working our of COA, including Jewish House, B'nai B'rith Retirement Villages, Burger Centre, Jewish Care, Montefiore, Wolper Jewish Hospital, as well as discussion groups form JNF, University of the Third Age, Sunday Discusions @ Random, and Bondi Shul.

We also featured stalls from COA activities and services including:

The Knitting Group run by volunteer Sandy Hotz, which produces blankets, beanies, scarves and dollies for various charities, hospitals and disaster/emergency relief agencies.

Art Classes held Tuesday (full) and Wednesday (spaces available) led by inspirational art therapist Jennifer Hardy, and now producing original cards for purchase by the public.

Social Bridge held on Thursdays from 1-3pm and led by volunteers. Suitable for most levels of play. They are always looking for more tables to join in to bring us back to our pre-COVID numbers of up to 8 tables playing.

The Kosher Meals on Wheels program - which we taste tested for lunch. People who had never seen these meals before were surprised at the quality and variety of food on offer, and shocked when they realised these are the actual meals we send as part of the program.

Upstairs in our activity room volunteer Monica Foltyn led demonstrations of Tai Chi and Zumba modified for seniors at which we had up to 20 people joining in the sessions, with staff members and even our President Ilona Lee joining in!

It was a fantastic day; crowded, noisy but loads of fun. We thank all the organisations who participated and hope you all come back when we do it again!!
